“We never know how high we are

Till we are called to rise;

And then, if we are true to plan,

Our statures touch the skies.

The heroism we recite

Would be a daily thing,

Did not ourselves the cubits warp

For fear to be a king.”

Do you feel the winds of change?

I am sure that if you don’t feel it in your mind you are feeling it in your heart.

Something is dying in our society, something is dying in our culture, something is dying inside us individually, giving us the opportunity to rise anew.

I’m walking under the sun’s merciless glare, which becomes blinding as it reflects off the Salar de Atacama in Chile, one of the world’s largest and most desolate deserts. Despite the bandages I’ve wrapped them in, my feet manage to produce new blisters even as the old ones open again…

The old paradigm is burning out like a candle.

I’m sure you perceive it — if you don’t in your mind, you do in your heart.

An ancient instinct has kicked in to draw meaning from seemingly disconnected facts — your ancient immune system sparking into action.

You sense something…

I got inspired by Ganga Devi to share this Poem by

Rainer Maria Rilke

Quiet friend who has come so far,

feel how your breathing makes more space around you.

Let this darkness be a bell tower

and you the bell. As you ring,

what batters you becomes your strength.

Move back and forth into the change.

What is it like, such intensity of pain?

If the drink is bitter, turn yourself to wine.

In this uncontainable night,

be the mystery at the crossroads of your senses,

the meaning discovered there.

And if the world has ceased to hear you,

say to the silent earth: I flow.

To the rushing water, speak: I am.
